Mohit joins our organization as a volunteer.

Completing his Graduation in Bachelor of Commerce from Elphinstone college, Mumbai. He worked as a Green Trail Fellow and Asst. Trek Leader in Indiahikes located in the different remote parts of North India. Where his project was to set up sustainable waste management systems in various villages in the Mountains. 

 

Wishing to understand ground realities and the needs of the system and firmly believing in the power of an excellent education, he joined Teach For India in 2018. During his fellowship, he taught 80 students in the English government school and is a working member of the community center which runs after school to increase the teaching instructional hours and to inculcate 21st-century skills in the students via different projects.  He  did his summer internship with Teach for India known as Prosum internship, that focused on building the cognitive and planning skills through peer learning.  He is  also a school manager of Just of Kicks(football intervention) managing and leading the development of 60 students while inculcating the values through football.  

 

Fascinated with the mountains and its magnitude, he is a nature enthusiast. Exploring new cultures and places,  and meeting new people has been his passion. He loves to take pictures and you might see him sometime or the other poking his camera on your face. Amidst everything, one thing that has kept him going and sane is his Yoga and Meditation. He  believes it is the individual’s responsibility to keep yourself at ease because you interact with many people on a day to basis so it becomes a necessity to keep a time for yourself where you can zoom out and reflect on your actions without reactions.
